About Wild Z

Hi, I’m Zoe — the heart behind Wild Z Photography. I’ve always enjoyed photography and taking moments to capture the smallest and biggest things that speak to me. Whether it’s my kids playing in the yard, the way a tree’s branches curl around each other, or the joy that I get from spotting wildlife, it has always spoken to me. A few years ago I found myself craving a creative outlet – one that challenged me, allowed me to spend more time outside with my family or alone, and a place for healing and reflection. That’s when my passion for photography truly came alive.

I love being out in nature – there is something so therapeutic and quietly knowing about it. I am lucky enough to live in the State of Colorado, which often feels like living in a painting – blue skies, the Rocky Mountains, every kind of weather, and landscapes for miles. Originally from England, living here has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but in the best possible way.  I love hiking and exploring, and some days I barely touch my camera because I’m simply soaking in the world around me: the quiet, the light, the space to breathe and daydream. Other days, I’m intentionally searching for the smallest moments of beauty, something that slows down time and just lets me see the world differently — a soft glow on a peak, a wildflower catching the sun, the stillness of a trail at dawn, or the wildlife I’m lucky enough to stumble upon (unless it’s a snake, then I don’t feel lucky).

Through Wild Z Photography, I share the places and moments in time that have called to me and allowed me to see the true power and beauty of nature, helping me reconnect with myself. I believe that photos tell a story – yes, a story of what you see right before your eyes, but more than that. They can tell you something about how the person behind the lens is feeling, what they might be going through, what they see beauty or darkness in and how they, for that moment in time, see the world. These images I create can be deeply vulnerable.

I am sharing my images with you in the hope that they bring a sense of understanding, enjoyment, peace, beauty, and life into your space — just as these moments have brought to mine.

I’m a lifelong student of nature - the power it can bring into your life and how you see the world-and the tools I use to capture these fleeting moments in time.
